- The flattest part of Elderin is also the driest. Once called “Water Valley” due to the various fingers of water that came down from Thyven’s Pond centuries earlier, the deepening of the Pond cause the water to thin and dry out. What remains is a hard clay desert, almost tropical in the Spring Season with the cool ocean on its shore. The old river beds are carved hard into the land, creating valleys along the lands. Nomadic tribes live here, all sharing an almost democratic space in Castle Bynard and self-governing most of their issues. Some of the hardiest plant and wildlife live here, and a clearly defined tall grassland serves as an informal border before the Baldwyin Plains.
